Guilherme's lithographs, drawings and oils can be found in public and private collections in the United States, England, France, Italy, Canada, Brazil and several Latin American countries. His works show and acute interest in details of living forms. He utilizes semi-figurative elements with an eroticism that comes with a maximum of suggestion and a minimum of trace color. The decisiveness of his lines, seemingly achieved by mere chance, are the result of careful research and a sharp mind in total control of the hand.

Guilherme's presence at Art - '81, Washington D.C. was immediately preceded by showings in Tokyo in '79 ad '80 (25 Contemporary Artists), Florida (Boca Raton Center for the Arts '80), Wisconsin (Allen Galleries, Milwaukee '80), Buenos Aires (Trienal del Grabado '79), and Sao Paulo (XI Chapel Art Show '80). Between '75 and '78 he had two showings in Canada (Informal Gallery, Toronto), in Paraguar (Center for Art Studies, Asuncion), and several in Brazil including Cosme Velho (Sao Paulo), Guignard (Ponte Alegre), and 1st Latin American Bienal in Sao Paulo. His work has also been shown in New York (Zegri '67), the Spolette Festival (Italy '75), and Bristol College (Mass. '76), among many other shows in all major Brazilian cities.

Guilherme de Faria was born in Brazil in 1942 and started to draw professionally in 1962. His work is reminiscent of great names such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
